When we started to write this blog post today we were so excited because it came from a random but interesting conversation that we struck up. And of course since we love you all so much we had to come on here and share it. So here is the history behind the story…
The other morning Lucas and I were in our normal routine, we open our eyes and began giving thanks to God for allowing us to be alive in another day. We say our individual prayers and then… its game time (see ya’ll were thinking nasty!) We both start cracking jokes on one another or playing pranks, now the tricky part is that whoever is the quickest on their feet is usually the one who has the upper hand! So I have to be super quick!
Our normal routine led me to ask Luke do these actions make her happy? I absolutely love to see her smile and it is very important that I always know the things that help me see that through daily. She answered yes, and (of course) doubled backed and asked me the same question. Do these actions make me happy? Of course I said, Heck yeah! And I elaborated…
Being able to wake up and live with someone that has an amazing sense of humor has certainly helped smooth out the rough patches. It makes the hard days seem simple and the times that we don’t even feel like smiling or laughing we both help each other to smile and see the lighter side of the situation despite it all.
Being able to be yourself in a relationship is important but being able to laugh and have healthy humor in your relationship is powerful. Research from www.helpguide.org even proves the importance of laughter.
Laughter is good for your health

So what does all of this have to do with refueling your happiness? Well that’s just it, laughing! Make sure that you do not take for granted the benefits of laughing with your partner Be yourself in your relationship, let your silly and funny side free and enjoy the benefits of it. It is easy for pride and ego to slip its way into your relationship and start preventing you from being yourself around your partner. Having fun with one another and making each other laugh should not be judged.
